Skin scent i-ii: rain and rivers x ludmila furman is a wearable sculpture holding two perfume compartments with distinct yet layering skin scents.

This piece is a collaboration between magdalena hart (@rain_and_rivers_) and ludmila furman (@ludfurman). This collaboration was initiated as a reflection on shedding, developed in connection to this year 2025: the yin wood snake. Activated by body heat and the oil base of the structure, the scents unfold gradually as an extension of the skin.The piece was designed around release and intimacy. Scent i carries earthy tones of vetiver, moss, and mineral notes, deepened by labdanum, myrrh, and incense, whilst scent ii introduces a lighter, floral layer built around frangipani, jasmine, ylang-ylang, and green tea, supported by musky and woody notes.

The piece is a 1/1 edition, and was forged by hand in barcelona using handblown borosilicate glass and stainless steel. Each compartment is a refillable bottle. Magdalena hart is a critical artist whose practice is situated between art, ecology, and digital technology. Her work explores how to imagine possible futures from the sensitive and the more-than-human, cultivating porosity as a methodology for deep listening. Through rain and rivers she merges crafts such as glassblowing and metalwork, with digital interactivity, she creates hybrid environments that blur the boundaries between the organic and the computational. Her gestures oscillate between erosion, care and repair. Ludmila furman is a perfume artist who works with scent as both material and medium. Through experimental compositions, she translates emotions, images, texts, and abstract ideas into olfactory form. Her practice approaches perfume not only as formulation, but as object and experience, an invisible design that connects intimately with memory and imagination.
