"Espiral is a sculpture designed in 2021 as part of the interactive-installation-interface created for the performative series "Paisaje Sonoro" alongside my artistic duo Akyute. The piece evolved as a result of a previous investigation on the concept of plant-intelligence.

The object is designed to guide the growth of the roots of the plant, and therefore the stem, creating a piece in constant transition and dialogue with its environment. By evoking elemental materials such as light, water, air and earth, the plants movement becomes part of the sculpture, and evolves over time. The worth of the artwork itself is defined by growth of the plant. The spiral shape in itself symbolizes life, continuity, development and motion.
