Evelyn Tan is a Vancouverite artist currently based in Los Angeles. Her narratives stem from dreams, memory, and fable, chasing nostalgia whilst exploring a coming of age. As a consequence of growing up an only child, she often portrays herself as sibling personas, dissecting childhood tenets. Contention and authentication between these sister selves are presented in ironic scenarios, contained in meticulously drawn sanctuaries. These are often materialized through graphite, ink, digital rendering, and paint.
