Black Qi Pao Top by GRACE GUI

This Blue Qi “Chi” Pao Top is knit with a cone of secondhand cotton sourced from a market in Bushwick NYC. Felted with hand-dyed and hand-raised silk fiber hatched from silkworm eggs and raised over the course of three months in Brooklyn NYC by GRACE GUI Studio. Finished with vintage deadstock silk frog closures from Michigan.

Each piece will be slightly varied due to the organic nature of the production style and design process of GRACE GUIi Studio.

GRACE GUI combines the Americana influences in her life, that had previously stunted her self acceptance, and combines them with her introspective resurgence of love for herself and her Chinese background. She solely sources from female independent farmers and artisans along with raising her own silkworms and angora rabbit in her Bushwick studio.
