Urna is a new unlimited edition vase from the Tellurico’s series, Telluride. The characteristic of this object is in a unique material, a composition of Lava rocks gathered on the hills of the Phlegrean Field and an ultra elastic black porcelain. Thanks to the similarity between the kaolin in the porcelain, and the silicon dioxide in the lava, the two-element bond together creating a brand new material, the Volcanic Porcelain. During the firing, the lava burst through the porcelain, creating an unexpected texture each time different from the previous one.
