Alexandra Larrabure
Alexandra Larrabure is a Peruvian knitwear designer who recently graduated from the BA in Textile Design at Central Saint Martins. Her work reflects on the construction of subjectivity at a personal level, but also at a more collective and cultural one. The fragile and diaphanous nature of her designs, seen in her knitted pieces, as well as the intricate patterns making up her textiles nod towards the aesthetics of pre-Columbian textiles and ancient Peruvian weaving techniques, which have always been a source of inspiration for her.
